Uncommon original preliminary tour itinerary from Led Zeppelin's 1970 North American Summer Tour, one page, 8.25 x 11.25, RAK Music Management Limited letterhead, August 10-September 20, 1970. The itinerary lists the band's travel schedule, beginning with a show in Hampton Beach, Virginia, and concluding with one in Allentown, Pennsylvania, before their flight back to London. In fine condition, with various ballpoint notations in an unknown hand.
This tour was originally scheduled to begin in Cincinnati on August 5th and conclude on September 20th in Washington, D.C. However, the first week was rescheduled due to the ill health of the father of bass player John Paul Jones. The itinerary was amended several times, leading to much confusion, with the band erroneously being billed to appear at the Strawberry Fields Festival on the weekend of August 8-9. Although this itinerary begins on the correct date, it lists several shows that would never happen—including those scheduled for Boston College, Yale University, San Antonio, and Allentown.
