Description

Irish political leader (1775-1847) best known for his tireless efforts on behalf of Catholic Emancipation and the repeal of the Act of Union which combined Ireland and Great Britain. ANS, one page, 6 x 3.5, May 3, 1841. Handwritten pass by O'Connell as a Member of Parliament, in full: "Admit the bearer to the Gallery." Affixed to a slightly larger cardstock sheet and in very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, overall wrinkling, and a few small stains.
