Amazing, beautifully made laboratory analytical balance, measuring approximately 15″ x 20″ x 13″, built by Sartorius-Werke AG of Göttingen, Germany. The manufacturer's plate on the base reads: "Projecta Rapid, 200g/0,1mg, 104408, Made in Germany." Instead of the usual rectangular box with the vertically opening door, this takes a cylindrical form. The 'doors' are curved glass that slide around a circular track. It uses a conventional two-pan beam but it has a push-button system that loads the right-side pan weights onto a holder so no handling of weights is required. In very good to fine condition. The balance knife edges and plane bearings show no chips. Additional weights could be added to the right pan if the item or material on the left pan exceeded the 200 grams that the push-button weight system provided.
