Description

Unrivaled collection of 1200 stage-used picks from across the rock n' roll universe

Absolutely rockin’ lifetime collection of 1,200 guitar and bass picks that have been used on stage by notable rock and roll musicians like Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, B. B. King, Pete Townshend, Tony Iommi, Dimebag Darrell, Johnny Ramone, and many others. The picks, which been been meticulously amassed and organized by a former House of Blues stage manager and dedicated lifelong rock and roll music fan over the span of 22 head-banging years, are stored in two alphabetically arranged three-ring binders, with each pick displayed in an individual cardboard holder with windows to the front and back; many of these holders are annotated in ink by the collector, who adds details like concert date, venue, band, and/or the name of the musician who used the pick. The binders themselves are exceedingly well-used and -toned, and covered front-to-back with various stickers and backstage passes, their presence further hammering home the collection’s palpable punk rock vibe and validity. Dating between 1984 and 2006, the collection is made all the more desirable by its sheer size and diversity, with no rock subgenre seemingly overlooked—be it country, prog, alternative, blues, metal, or something in between, rockers big and small are equally represented.
