Saturn V Third Stage Engine Purge Pump Control Module, measuring 6" x 4.5" x 4", with a George C. Marshall Spaceflight Center label on the main cylinder, reading: "Module, Control, Engine Pump Purge, Assy. No. 38170-11, DAC Spec. 1A58347-515AR, Contr. No. NAS 7-101…Ser No. 25, Date 9-68." Marked on the side with an October 17, 1968 test/inspection date. This control module was part of a system on the Saturn V Third Stage that cleared residual propellant from the J2 engine injector and its feed lines (with helium gas) following engine shutdown.
