Automotive engineer and businessman (1854-1929) who founded the automobile manufacturing company whose name survives as a division of General Motors. Partly-printed DS, signed “D. D. Buick,” one page, 10.5 x 8.25, April 25, 1911. Stock certificate issued to Austin Harvey Cutter for 100 shares of capital stock in the Buick Oil Company, with the upper section featuring an engraved vignette of a California oil field. Signed at the conclusion by David Dunbar Buick as president, with the lower left bearing the company's embossed gold seal. In fine condition. The consignor notes that only a dozen or so of these certificates exist today.
