Description

Indigenous Mexican statesman (1806-1872) who served as the country's president from 1858 until his death. Manuscript DS, in Spanish, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 12.5, January 1851. Untranslated document signed at the conclusion by Juarez during his first term as Governor of Oaxaca. In very good to fine condition, with small binding holes along the left edge, and areas of insect damage slightly affecting some text, but not the signature.
