Handwritten response to an invitation, in full: "I regret that indisposition prevented me the pleasure of availing myself of your kind invitation yesterday. I am going I hope into the country to try what change of air will do & shall do myself the pleasure of calling on my return." Affixed by its second integral sheet to a slightly larger page and in fine condition.
