Original program for the Rolling Stones’ 1982 European Tour, 24 pages, 12 x 12, signed inside on separate pages in black ballpoint, “Mick Jagger, xx,” “Best wishes, Keith Richards,” “Love, Charlie Boy,” “Love, Bill Wyman,” and “To Rod, all the best, Ronnie Wood.” The front cover is also signed by actor Billy Connolly. In fine condition, with light handling wear.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, which reads: “On the 25th June that year, The Stones appeared at Wembley Stadium as part of their Tour. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to the Stadium as a tour of duty, as supervisor to a serial responsible for safety of the performers and general conduct of the spectators in relation to alcohol consumption and disorder. I visited their trailer backstage, prior to their appearance on stage, to check on their well being and was greeted in a friendly manner. I was in possession of the 1982 European Tour programme and being in the privileged position of meeting them, took the liberty of asking whether they would be kind enough to autograph the programme. They were all most obliging and individually signed across their own photos in the programme. Billy Connolly appeared at their trailer and began chatting with Mick Jagger. I took the chance of asking Billy if he would also sign the programme which he very kindly did on the front cover.”
