DS, signed "Richard M. Nixon," one page, 7.25 x 4, January 11, 1963. Quaker City Federal Savings and Loan Association withdrawal application and receipt for $5000. In fine condition. This is an exceedingly rare document, possibly the only savings & loan cash withdrawal document signed by a president in existence-we have encountered no similar examples. It was for an 'across the counter' transaction whereby Nixon received $5,000 cash. It is far more rare than a check in that it was not negotiable (like a check) and should have been retained by Quaker City Federal-incidentally, Nixon was a Quaker.
