Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 US Army Signal Corps photo of Truman at his desk, signed and inscribed in white ink, "Best wishes to Henry McElroy, Harry S. Truman.” In very good to fine condition, with a tear to the left edge. McElroy was the first city manager of Kansas City, Missouri, holding the position during the era of political boss Tom Pendergast, who helped Truman launch his career in politics.
