German composer and conductor (1869-1930) who was the son of Richard Wagner; he served as the opera composer and artistic director of the Bayreuth Festival from 1908 to 1930. ALS in German, one page, 5.5 x 3.5, June 1, 1919. Handwritten letter of thanks, in full (translated): "I thank you very much for your kindness in sending me the number of your publication in which you mention my birthday." In fine condition, with two file holes, and a small tear, to the left edge.
