Description

Attractive color first edition of the Apollo 17 Lunar Topographic Photomap, 43 x 29, dated September 1972, signed in blue felt tip, "The Valley of Taurus Littrow, Last lunar footsteps of the 20th century—Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII, December 1972." The photomap shows a contoured 1:25,000 scale transverse Mercator projection of the Taurus Littrow landing site. Prepared and published by the Defense Mapping Agency, Topographic Center, Washington, D.C. Rolled and in fine condition. One of the largest NASA charts ever created for an Apollo landing area.
