Economist, sociologist, and philosopher (1848-1923) known for his studies of income distribution and the analysis of individuals' choices; the Pareto principle was named after him, based on his observations that 80% of the wealth in Italy belonged to about 20% of the population. ALS in French, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 8.75, June 17, 1905. Untranslated handwritten letter by Pareto. In fine condition.
