ALS in French, signed “Victor Hugo,” one page, 10.25 x 7.75, October 6, 1866. Large and boldly penned untranslated handwritten letter by Hugo while living in exile in Brussels. In very good condition, with a couple of edge tears, and old tape repairs on the back, including a repair to complete separation to the central vertical fold.
