Description

Eminent French sculptor (1834-1904) best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. ALS in French, signed “Bartholdi,” on both sides of a 4.5 x 3.5 personal stationery card, April 27, 1886. Untranslated handwritten letter referencing newspapers in the United States. In fine condition, with two rusty paperclip impressions to the top of the front edge.
