Handwritten letter, in part: "As the weather was so very bad on Friday, I deferred my jaunt to Woolwich until this morning, whither I am now bound, I hope Mary Anne will accompany me…and if she has got sailing orders from you, may I beg that you request her to have topsails at the masthead and her anchor ready for weighing by four o'clock, at which hour I hope to be with you. I am happy to say Eleanor is considerably better." In fine condition, with intersecting folds, and minor edge loss.
