Pierpont Morgan, Elliot C. Cowden, and others. In part: "Since receiving your kind invitation to the Annual Banquet of the Chamber of Commerce at Delmonico's May 4, I have been to St. Louis and Chicago which will explain the cause of my silence. I appreciate the honor of the invitation, but owing to the many calls by the Centennial of Philadelphia all in May, I fear I will not be able to be present at New York on the 4th." In fine condition. Beautifully cloth-matted and framed with an engraved portrait and plaque to an overall size of 21 x 23.5, with a window in the backing so that the reverse can be seen.
