Baseball Hall of Famer (1881-1959) best known for his spitballs and for the forty-one-and-a-third innings he pitched in an eight-day span in 1908 in a futile attempt to capture a pennant for the White Sox. Bold vintage ink signature, "Ed. A. Walsh, White Sox, Chicago,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3.25 government postcard, postmarked May 28,1948. In very good to fine condition, with scattered soiling, a brush to the word "Sox," a few bends and creases, and mounting remnants on the back.
