Kennedy and Richard Nixon on the set of their televised presidential debate in 1960, taken by Joe Scherschel for LIFE Magazine. Reverse bears a LIFE Magazine credit stamp and is stamp-dated March 10, 1965. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing. The historic debate between the two candidates—casting the polished, handsome JFK against the nervous, older Nixon—aided in Kennedy's electoral victory.
