Partly-printed DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 20 x 16, December 18, 1911. President Taft appoints Joseph H. Blackwood as a "Notary Public for the District of Columbia." Signed neatly at the conclusion by William H. Taft, and countersigned by Acting Attorney General Winfred Thaxter Denison. Original red Justice Department seal remains affixed to the lower left. In fine condition.
