Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1739-1813) who served as the first president of the Philadelphia Bank. Partly-printed DS, signed “G. Clymer,” one page, 8 x 4.25, no date but circa 1790s. Document neatly signed as supervisor of the revenue for the district of Pennsylvania, in full: "I Certify, that the duties on one Puncheon of Run, containing one hundred & fourteen gallons of the third proof, and marked and numbered as in the margin, have been secured according to law." In fine condition.
