Two copies of Ken Kesey's Sailor Song: one is a first edition review copy published by Viking in 1992, hardcover with dust jacket, signed and inscribed on the first free end page in gold ink, "Ken Kesey, 1992"; and the second is an advance uncorrected proofs copy from Viking, bound in glossy pictorial wraps with front marked as "Not For Sale," impressively signed and inscribed on the half-title page in green and black felt tip, "For Matt, Ken, 1993," with Kesey decorating the page with blue streaks and multicolored fingerprint marks and stamps. In overall fine condition, with some trivial wear and toning to covers. Not to play down the first edition, but the advance copy with its psychedelic fingerprint display is certainly a must-have example that colorfully represents Kesey's unique artistry.
