Early actor (1829-1905) who gained fame in Laura Keene's company and appeared in many productions including, Rip Van Winkle. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Jefferson by Morrison for Chicago's Haymarket Theatre, signed and inscribed in ink, "To William L. Mesue, from J. Jefferson.” In very good condition, with heavy overall toning and some scuffing to borders.
