Description

Archive of unsigned materials associated with vehicles belonging to Peter Lawford and his company, Chrislaw Productions, circa late 1950s-late 1960s, comprising more than 80 pages, including letters to Lawford and his manager Milt Ebbins pertaining to the vehicles, retained carbon copies of letters by Lawford, insurance and registration paperwork, plus car keys and assorted associated ephemera.

Highlights include paperwork related to "the 1966 Mustang Convertible loaned to Miss Patty Duke," a letter from Kennedy 'fixer' Thomas J. Walsh sending the title to Pat Lawford's car, Peter Lawford's retained carbon copy of a letter saying he is "delighted with my Jaguar 'E,'" letters from a livery service discussing their fleets of Rolls Royce and Cadillacs (with reference to State Department concerns over the use of non-American vehicles), a letter from the Ford Motor Company on the delivery of a fully loaded 1959 Thunderbird convertible (with attached invoice), two small Carrozzeria Boano photographs of a Jaguar XK140 and Alfa Romeo 3000CM, a telegram from Eunice Kennedy declining to purchase a rare Fiat, keys for a Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury, and a slim legal file with attorney's letters in the case of "Lawford vs. Starbird" involving an accident of May 11, 1958. In overall very good to fine condition.
