Original 4 x 3.5 ticket stub for a Nirvana concert held at The Kings Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 22, 1992, which is signed on the reverse in black felt tip by Kurt Cobain, “Kurdt,” and in black ballpoint by Dave Grohl, “David.” In very good condition, with overall creasing, minor edge loss, and intersecting folds reinforced with clear tape on the ticket's face.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who mistakenly attributes the Grohl autograph to bassist Krist Novoselic, in part: “I can testify that this is a genuine Nirvana concert ticket signed by Kurt Cobain and [Dave Grohl]. The concert in Belfast 1992 was a huge and significant event for many of us in Belfast at the time who were fans of grunge music and to have a band as huge as Nirvana play made it a must-see event. Particularly because many groups stayed away from Northern Ireland due to the troubles. The atmosphere was electric and the crowds were not disappointed. As a 15 year old fan I was determined to meet the players after the concert and after some time they came out the side door to meet with fans, and sign autographs. I remember vividly the announcement of his death on the radio and looked up to see this concert ticket pinned to the wall and staring in disbelief that this was something this hugely talented man had touched, and he was no longer alive.”
