Beautiful original color painting by renowned space artist Ed Hengeveld, gouache on paper, 15.75 x 11.75, which depicts CDR Cernan and LMP Schmitt driving the lunar rover away from the Lunar Module Challenger during the historic Apollo 17 mission, signed in silver ink, “Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII” and “Harrison H. Schmitt, Apollo 17.” Signed and dated in the lower right by the artist, "Ed Hengeveld, 2006." In fine condition, with light scuffing to the upper corners.
