Berthier,” one page, 8 x 9.5, October 14, 1812. Letter to Monsieur Bignon, Imperial Commissaire in charge of the Government of Lithuania. Writing from Moscow, Berthier mentions that he has received the complaints of the officers about their appointments, but that they will follow the rules of Lithuania. In fine condition. Letters of Napoleon's Marshals, dating to the Russian Campaign, are very rare and highly sought after.
