Striking oversized portrait of the wireless communications pioneer

Italian physicist and inventor (1874-1937) who devoted his life to experiments in wireless communication, and was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1909. Stunning vintage matte-finish 10.5 x 14.75 photo of Marconi in uniform by Harris & Ewing, boldly signed and inscribed in the wide lower border in fountain pen, "To William T. Flynn, yours very truly, G. Marconi, Washington, DC, June 1917.” Impressively matted and framed to an overall size of 17 x 21.5. In very good to fine condition, with a crease and small stains to the upper left corner, and a missing upper right corner tip.
