You know George that the public is not concerned with acting—but larger sentiment—I know it too. Please George do a picture someday with a great part for me & you'll find me on the wing to you! Please explain to Mr. Selznick I bartered with him in a weak moment & he turned down my offer—thank God. I should have been sick if he had accepted, as I knew this was something I should not do.
