Historic group of 20 original vintage glossy silver gelatin photographs chronicling President John F. Kennedy's visit to Berlin on June 26, 1963, showing him speaking before the huge crowd, close-ups of Kennedy on the platform, and images of the location at the Rathaus Schöneberg. Nineteen measure 7 x 5, with one measuring 5 x 5. All bear typed or handwritten captions on the reverse, and are stamped "Aufnahme der Landesbildstelle Berlin." In overall fine condition.
Kennedy made the eighth international trip of his presidency from June 23-July 2, 1963, visiting Germany, Ireland, and England. It was during his visit to West Berlin on June 26th that he gave his famous 'Ich bin ein Berliner' speech, advocating for representative democracy and capitalism as a replacement for communist regimes around the world.
