Description

Colbly explains the "distinction between the FBI and the CIA"

TLS signed “W. E. Colby,” one page, 7.25 x 10.75, personal letterhead, December 6, 1976. Letter to Irwin M. Schuett, in part: "The distinction between the FBI and the CIA is that the FBI is concerned with law enforcement and internal security, and the CIA is solely concerned with foreign intelligence and foreign activities. The easiest way to differentiate them is to think of the water's edge at the edge of our country as being the essential line of distinction. Their work does not actually parallel in very many ways, although they can, and do, assist each others in their respective activities under the law." In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
