Description

First British film producer to receive a knighthood (1893-1956). He was a major, if controversial, figure and acted as a guiding force behind the British film industry of the 1930s and continued to influence British films until his death in 1956. TLS, one page, 5 x 8, London Film Productions Ltd. letterhead, February 3, 1955. Letter to David B. Williams, in part: "We have in mind to use Mr. Rosza's music on the new film. It is very sad indeed that some of the studios went out of business and nobody can be more sorry about it than I am myself." In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
