Description

One of the famed Ringling brothers (1866-1936) who merged the Barnum & Bailey Circus with their own Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows to create a virtual monopoly of traveling circuses. TLS, one page, 8 x 11, colorful Barnum & Bailey letterhead, January 15, 1919. Letter to Arthur J. Hirschler, in full: "Replying to your letter of January 9th, which has just reached me here, wish to advise that your letter comes too late, as all arrangements for the programme have been made for the coming season." In fine condition, with three binder dings to the left edge.
