Scarce menu for a Spanish-American War victory dinner held by the Clover Club Peace Jubilee at the Bellevue in Philadelphia on October 27, 1898, 6 x 9, signed on the front cover in pencil, "Jos. Wheeler, Major Gen. Vols," and on the back cover in red pencil, "Nelson A. Miles." The back cover is also signed in pencil by Charles Dwight Sigsbee, the captain of the USS Maine; Adna Chaffee, a brigadier general of volunteers in Cuba; William Rufus Shafter, a prominent major general in the Spanish-American War; Robley D. Evans, commander of the battleship USS Iowa in the Battle of Santiago de Cuba; Daniel Sickles, the United States Minister to Spain; Richmond P. Hobson, who received the Medal of Honor for his role in the sinking of the Merrimac; and Samuel S. Sumner, who led his brigade into action at the Battle of Las Guasimas. In fine condition.
