Description

Great Irish poet and playwright (1854-1900) remembered for such works as The Importance of Being Earnest and The Picture of Dorian Gray, as well as his imprisonment for 'gross indecency.' Scarce and sought-after pencil signature, "Oscar Wilde,” on an off-white 3 x 1.25 slip. Mounted, matted, and framed with a portrait of the writer to an overall size of 10 x 14.5. In very good to fine condition, with light irregular toning.
