Group lot of three Learner's Adult Bible Study Guides—better known as 'Sunday School Books'—by Smyth & Helwys, each 6 x 9, signed on the front cover in black felt tip, "J. Carter." Also included are three Smyth & Helwys subscription cards, 5.5 x 4.25, each signed in black ink or felt tip, "J. Carter." In overall fine condition. The consignor notes that these came from Carter's Sunday School class, and were given to a friend. People from around the world would arrive in Plains, Georgia, to attend the Sunday School class taught by President Carter at Maranatha Baptist Church. These signed books are very hard to find.
