ADS in German, signed "Freud," one page on a 5.25 x 3.5 personal card, February 28, 1934. An invoice for 2000 Austrian shillings' worth of training services for the month, in full: "Herrn Prof R. Grinker, February/20 hours = S2000." In fine condition, with some old mounting remnants on the reverse. Dr. Roy R. Grinker, Sr., was a pioneer in American psychiatry who sought training from Freud in Vienna in 1933-34. He went on to serve as professor of psychiatry at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago School of Medicine, as well as chief editor of the American Medical Association's Archives of General Psychiatry for 17 years.
