"I think the greatest miracle of all time," writes Tombaugh, "was the privilege of watching American astronauts walking and working on the moon"

Three items: a satin-finish 4 x 5 photo of Tombaugh in a pleasant up-close pose, signed in blue ballpoint; a pamphlet for The Clyde Tombaugh Scholar Endowment, 4.75 x 8, signed and inscribed inside in black ink, "To Mr. & Mrs. Ken Browne, from Clyde W. Tombaugh, 11 June 1987"; and an ALS, signed "Clyde W. Tombaugh, Professor of Astronomy Emeritus," one page, 8.5 x 11, New Mexico University letterhead, addressed to Ken Browne, in part: "I think the greatest miracle of all time, which should have thrilled every American, was the privilege of watching American astronauts walking and working on the moon on our TV sets in our homes." In overall very good to fine condition, with some light creasing to the letter. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope hand-addressed by Tombaugh, who incorporates his signature into the return address field.
