Appealing replica 9 x 8 metal lunar plaque similar to the one left on the moon's surface by the Apollo 11 crew, affixed to a wooden 10.5 x 13 mount, signed below his facsimile signature in black felt tip by Buzz Aldrin. The iconic plaque reads: "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the moon, July 1969, A. D. We came in peace for all mankind." The plaque is impressively double-matted and framed with an embroidered patch, four covers, and three NASA lithographs, with one bearing autopen signatures of the full prime crew, to an overall size of 39 x 33.25. In very good to fine condition, with two scratches to the plaque touching Aldrin's signature, and a ding to the upper right corner of the wood.
