Amazing original color 24 x 39 poster promoting the Island Records release of Bob Marley and the Wailer's 1979 album Survival, showing a large image of Marley and a numbered outline of the African continent to lower right, with flags and informational text for the corresponding 53 African countries bordering and below the main image, signed and inscribed in blue felt tip, "Janet, One Love, One Heart, Bob Marley." Rolled and in very good condition, with light overall creasing, and heavier creasing, tears, and staple holes to the edges, which could be effectively matted out. A remarkable display piece commemorating Marley and the Wailers' powerful Survival record, an album that enjoyed only moderate chart success, peaking at No. 20 in the UK and at No. 70 in the US, but stands today as a testament to the strength of Marley’s convictions and an enduring meditation on struggle and political injustice.
