TLS, two pages, 8 x 10.5, State of New York Executive Chamber letterhead, May 23, 1932. Letter to Milton R. Peril in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, in part: "It is very good of you to say that my own experience has been an inspiration to you, and I want to tell you that I, on my part, can fully appreciate your own courage in overcoming the physical drawbacks of life in a wheel chair…Your letter reached me here at Warm Springs, where I am enjoying the beneficial baths as well as the far-famed hospitality of Georgia. I am glad to say that I am in splendid general health, and full of energy despite a very trying winter in Albany." In very good condition, with staining and discoloration from old scrapbook remnants on the reverse.
