In 1967, Gibson would make history as World Series MVP, pitching three complete game victories in the 1967 World Series against the Boston Red Sox. Gibson gave up just three runs in 27 innings, notching 26 strikeouts along the way, in what is remembered as one of the most dominant postseason pitching performances in baseball history.
