Description

TLS, one page, 7 x 8.75, White House letterhead, September 20, 1934. Letter to "Mrs. Delano" at the Naval Torpedo Station in Newport, Rhode Island, in full: "The vegetables and fruit were delicious and all of us on the Nourmahal enjoyed them greatly. Many thanks for thinking of us. It was delightful to get a glimpse of Captain Delano." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Captain Harvey Delano was a cousin to President Roosevelt and commanded the Naval Torpedo Station at Newport from 1934 to 1936.
