Reed or "either of them my Attorney and Agent for me and in my name, place and stead, to vote as my proxy at a special meeting of the stockholders of the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad company to be held on August 9, 1887." Signed at the conclusion by Vanderbilt. In very good to fine condition. Accompanied by an assemblage of nine other partly printed and manuscript documents relating to transactions and special board meetings relative to the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, dated between January 10 and August 12, 1884, August 9, 1887, and August 9, 1889.
