Description

Color semi-glossy 11 x 7.5 photo of Johnson shaking hands with Wisconsin Congressman Andrew Biemiller in front of a Native American exhibition, calligraphically inscribed on the mat, "To Andy Biemiller, with best wishes," and signed in black ink by Johnson’s actual signature. Framed to an overall size of 15 x 12. In fine condition. Biemiller was a congressman and chief lobbyist for the AFL-CIO. He played a key role in the passage of civil rights, medicare, and similar legislation during the administrations of JFK and LBJ.
