Set of nine original vintage glossy NASA photos, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, depicting the two-man lunar module crew of Apollo 17 during training at the Kennedy Space Center, with images including: a fantastic full-length image of CDR Gene Cernan using a lunar drill during EVA training; Cernan wearing his EMU and preparing to remove a traverse gravimeter mockup from the lunar rover; LMP Harrison Schmitt brushing Cernan’s boot prior to entering the lunar module mockup; Schmitt watching the lunar rover being deployed from the lunar module trainer; Cernan and Schmitt practicing taking lunar soil and rock samples; two identical images of Schmitt seated in the rover and deploying an explosive charge during an EVA-1 training session (backup John Young next to him); and two identical images of Cernan and Schmitt seated in the rover during EVA training. Reverse of each photo features purple NASA caption text. In overall fine condition, with a few light corner creases.
