Uncommon pair of limited edition coins commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 7 mission, each 1.5″ in diameter, numbered 474 and 490 of 500, with front showing a color enamel mission insignia with raised text to top and bottom. The coins are respectively numbered on the reverse and feature matching spacecraft, Earth, and moon designs with raised text: "This medallion contains metal from the Apollo 7 spacecraft flown by Wally Schirra, Donn Eisele and Walt Cunningham, October 11-22, 1968." The coins were produced by the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, Texas. In overall fine condition. From the personal collection of a former Apollo program engineer.
