Agreement between Eric Bergren and Christopher DeVore with Brooksfilms Limited, in which the former party "hereby sell and grant…all rights of every kind and nature…in and to the first draft screenplay together with its theme, title and characters and all present future adaptations, versions and translations thereof…in connection with a feature length motion picture now entitled 'The Elephant Man.'" Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Brooks, and countersigned by Bergren and DeVore, who, alongside David Lynch, earned Oscar nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay, one of eight nominations the film received for the 53rd Academy Awards.
