Salisbury, in part: “All my family and such friends who have so far seen the photograph are delighted with it. I keep telling them that they should see the original. Everybody is particularly struck by the eyes. It really is a most beautiful portrait, and I think my chances of immortality, though faint, have been considerably strengthened by your work.” In fine condition. Burton is referring to a wonderful portrait painted by Salisbury showing him in costume as Henry V in Shakespeare’s famous play. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
